Tattoo aftercare

If you are the type of person who appreciates a lot of details, here is the long version of each aftercare sheet:

Regular Aftercare · Saniderm

If you are a tl;dr type of person, here’s the short version:

Your tattoo will be wrapped when you leave the shop. If you have a regular wrap, leave it on for 1-2 hours, then take it off and carefully wash the tattoo with gentle unscented soap. If you have Saniderm, leave it on for 2-3 days, then gently remove it and wash the tattoo.

Moisturize once or twice a day with a very thin layer of lotion (no petroleum products). It will be itchy, flaky, scabby, this is normal. Do not pick or scratch. No direct sun exposure and no soaking it in water for 3-4 weeks - showers are okay, swimming/hot tubs/bath tub is not. Wait at least 4-6 weeks before getting a touch up or second session.
